Enrollment now open for Citizen’s Academy 2017

The City of Garden City Citizen’s Academy will begin March 23. Interested residents are invited to take part and learn more about the role the City plays in their everyday lives.

“Citizen’s Academy is an opportunity for anyone who’s ever wondered how the City works to get a behind-the-scenes look at local government and its services,” said Communication & Project Manager Ashley Freburg. “It’s an opportunity to find out what the City does on a daily basis.”

Citizen’s Academy is a free, nine–week course for area residents. Classes will be held once per week at various City facilities, will be led by City staff, and will include tours of facilities as well as group activities.

Those interested may apply until March 17. Information and application forms are available at the City Administrative Center, 301 N. 8th Street, or by calling 620-276-1160.
