General Information
The City of Garden City Fire Department provides full fire and rescue service to the City of Garden City (8.84 square miles) and Finney County (1,302 square miles) via two full-time stations: the Allen Shelton Central Fire Station at 302 North 9th Street, and the Labrador Fire Station at 1605 East Mary.
Service to the Garden City Regional Airport (GCRA) is provided at the GCRA Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Station located at 2225 South Air Service Road for all commercial flights.
The most recent Insurance Service Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification Survey (PPC) was completed in March 2020 resulting in an ISO rating of 2, a rating only shared with approximately 4% of fire departments nationwide.
