Summer Events & Camps

Moms do amazing things. In the workplace and in the home, moms make miracles happen every day. Make sure the moms in your life know how special they are by treating them to an incredible Mother’s Day brunch. We’ll teach you (and the kids!) how to make a delicious meal so that Mom can sit back and relax on her special day. Just don’t forget to wash the dishes too!

Keep your kids learning and creating over the summer with this summer STEAM program. Your child will stay engaged with a mix of art, experiments, and games while getting to know friends with similar interests.

We all love to watch a good cooking competition. Give your child the opportunity to compete in their own Cupcake Wars with this special summer program. Participants will learn a variety of recipes and techniques before creating a themed cupcake display to showcase for friends and family. Ages: 5 - 10 years old

This year, we’re partnering with Downtown Vision to combine our Steven’s Park Concert Series with Food Truck Fridays! Bring your family and friends and get ready to enjoy your favorite food vendors and live music. It’s a social event you won’t want to miss! 

Days: Saturdays

We’re taking the show (okay, the movie) on the road this year and bringing the silver screen to a park near you! Be on the lookout for our inflatable big screen to pop up in parks around Garden this summer showing classic family movies. Concessions will be available for purchase as well, so bring the whole family and a blanket or lawn chair and come enjoy Movies Under the Moon!

July is National Park and Recreation Month, and we’re excited to celebrate it with you! Throughout the month of July, we’ll be hosting playdates at the parks around Garden City. We’ll be there with classic outdoor play materials like chalk, bubbles, and hula hoops. We’ll also be organizing games like Kickball, SPUD, and Capture the Flag. So take a break from the screens and come check out what Garden City Parks and Recreation has to offer!
